Slow-growing desert roses (Adenium obesum) grow 12 inches each year. Desert rose is a popular bonsai plant because to its sturdy trunk, thin leaves, and deep pink trumpeting flowers.
Desert roses love full sun. Choose a south-facing windowsill or sunroom for enough daytime light.
Light
Desert roses thrive on well-draining sandy or gravelly cactus soil.
Soil
Desert rose needs damp but not wet soil in late spring and summer. Check the soil occasionally and let it dry up before watering. Plant your desert rose in a well-drained container.
Water
Never leave your plant below 50 degrees Fahrenheit—it will die soon. It grows well at 65–90°F.
Temperature and Humidity
During active growth, feed your desert rose liquid fertilizer (diluted by half) once a month for more nutrition and blossoms.
